Recuperator air filters and their differences

Rekuperatorių oro filtrai ir jų skirtumai

Carbon filters

These filters are used to contain gaseous toxic substances. Carbon filters also trap chemical vapors and odors. Depending on the substance, different types of activated carbon are selected. Carbon filters are also used to filter air with radioactive impurities, mercury and acids. Filters can be cylindrical, panel, cartridge. Used carbon is replaced by new carbon.

Cylindrical filters

Cylindrical filters are widely used in various industries. Air filtering in purifiers, dust extraction cyclones, powder coating chambers, metal welding and cutting smoke, steam. When the air is cleaned with explosive particles, the filters are supplied with stainless steel fibers or embedded aluminum dust to prevent electrical charge discharge.

HEPA filters

H10, H13 and H14 filtration classes. The frame can be MDF, galvanized tin or aluminum. Microfibre filter material. Absolute cleaning filters are used in ventilation systems where the air needs to be completely cleaned. Frequent use in hospitals, electronics and pharmaceuticals, laboratories. Each filter is tested during production for leakage and a certificate of testing is issued. Special HEPA filters that have been treated with antibacterial agents can be ordered.

Cartridge filters

Filters G2, G3, G4 and M5, F7 filter classes.

The frame is made of galvanized sheet metal. The filter material of variable density polyester is attached to a metal mesh on one or two sides and corrugated.

Cartridge filters are used in ventilation systems, refrigeration units, production units where large volumes of air need to be filtered. Cartridge filters can be used as primary filters against higher-end filters.

Pocket filters

The pocket filter frame is made of galvanized sheet metal or plastic. Filter material of variable density polyester, polypropylene or fiberglass. The filter material, with its special fiber arrangement, allows a large amount of dust to be absorbed. High quality filter material and optimized pocket shape ensure durable filter life.

Pocket filters are used in ventilation systems, industrial installations where large volumes of air need to be filtered. G3 and G4 class filters are commonly used as primary filters against higher class filters. M5, M6, F7 and F9 class filters are commonly used as final filters or as pre-filters against ultra-high-end filters.

Compact filters

Compact filter frame plastic. Microfibre filter material. High quality filter material and optimized pocket shape ensure durable filter usage and high air permeability. Compact filters are used in ventilation systems where large amounts of air need to be filtered. F6, F7 and F9 class filters are commonly used as end filters or as pre-filters against ultra high-end filters. Frequent application for filtering smoke and pollen.

Ceiling filter

White polyester fiber filter. M5 filtration class. One side reinforced with reinforcing mesh. Used in ventilation and air conditioning systems, painting chambers. Permissible operating temperature + 100 ° C. Instantaneous maximum temperature up to + 120 ° C. The evenly thickened filter structure and thick filter layer guarantee extremely high dust collection.

MPL panel filters

MPL (minipleat) panel filters G4, M5, F7 and F9 filter classes.

These filters usually replace pocket filters when it comes to reducing the filter area. The new type of corrugation principle and spot gluing together ensure low airflow resistance and high dust resistance. The frame is made of cardboard, plastic and galvanized sheet metal. Filter material consisting of a multilayer synthetic filtering material.

Those filters are used in ventilation systems, refrigeration units, production units where large volumes of air need to be filtered. MPL filters can be used as primary filters against higher class filters.

MPL class F7 air filters with plastic frame certified in Germany DIN 4102 B2. It is a certificate for building materials which demonstrates that a product exposed to direct flame does not further stimulate but suppress it. Filter components, including gasket, were selected to keep the air filters melting but not flaming.

Fat retention filters

These filters are made of galvanized steel, aluminum or stainless steel. Depending on the need, both filter thickness and material are selected. For example, aluminum filters are used in the food industry.

The purpose of the filters is the primary containment of fat vapor and smoke. Filtering where sparks should be contained.
